Breaking: Canucks call up experienced NHLer
Keystone Press

The Vancouver Canucks called up forward Michael Chaput from Utica (AHL), the team announced on Monday. So far this season, the 25 year-old Quebec native played four games with the Utica Comets, where he scored one goal and added an assist. In 68 games with the Canucks last season, he registered nine points.

The Philadelphia Flyers drafted Chaput 89th overall in the 2010 draft. He was later traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets, where he played 50 games over two seasons, before the Canucks signed him as a free agent in the summer of 2016.
