Keystone Press

The Vancouver Canucks announced that the team have placed forwards Michael Chaput and Jayson Megna, as well as goaltender Richard Bachman on waivers today. If they’re not claimed, they will report to the Utica Comets of the AHL.

Chaput, 25, was drafted 89th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2010. He was signed as a free agent by the Canucks in 2016. Last season, he played 68 games in Vancouver, registering nine points and 29 penalty minutes. He’ll become a restricted free agent at the end of the season.

Megna, 27, was also signed as a free agent by the Canucks in 2016. He played 58 games with them last season, registering height points. He’ll also become a restricted free agent at the end of this year.

Bachman, 30, spent most of his career in the AHL. He was drafted 120th overall by the Dallas Stars in 2006. The Canucks signed him as a free agent in 2015. In 47 NHL games, he has a record of 20 wins and 17 losses. He owns a 2.89 goals-against-average and a save percentage of 0.906.
