According to a report from Vancouver Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal of Sportsnet, one of the team’s top prospect, goaltender Michael DiPietro,  could be on the move from the Ontario Hockey League’s (OHL) Windsor Spitfires to the Ottawa 67’s.

Check it out:

Source - Wouldn't be surprised if #Canucks prospect and goalie Michael DiPietro is traded today by Windsor to Ottawa.

The 19 year old goaltender was recently named to Team Canada’s selection camp for the upcoming World Junior Championships in Vancouver/Victoria and is expected to be the team’s uncontested starter. It’s obvious why the 67’s would be interested in DiPietro given his track record in junior with the Spitires. The fourth year OHLer is a Memorial Cup champion and OHL goaltender of the year and the 67’s themselves are gearing up for a Memorial Cup run.

UPDATE: TSN’s James Duthie has confirmed that DiPietro has been traded.
