Breaking: Canucks prospect named to team Canada
Keystone Press

Vancouver Canucks prospect Kole Lind has been named to Team Canada’s WHL roster for the upcoming 2017 CIBC Canada Russia Series

Lind, who was selected in the 2nd round (33rd overall) by the Canucks in this past June’s NHL Entry Draft, has put up an incredible seven goals and 17 points with the WHL’s Kelowna Rockets in just 9 games so far this season. Last season Lind scored 30 goals and 87 points in 70 games and was expected to be a first round pick as a result. Luckily for Canucks fans he somehow managed to slip to the 2nd round where Jim Benning and company were happy to snap him up.

Look for the 19 year-old to put up big numbers in the WHL this season and hopefully grab a spot with Team Canada at the upcoming World Junior Championships if he can impress at the Canada/Russia Series.
