Breaking: Canucks sign veteran forward to PTO.
Keystone Press

The Vancouver Canucks were rumored to have offered two professional tryout offers to veteran National Hockey League players, and now we have confirmation of at least one of those offers.

According to an official statement from the Canucks on social media, the team has signed 29-year-old veteran center Ryan White to a PTO, meaning that he will be joining the Canucks for training camp.

White most recently played for the Arizona Coyotes and Minnesota Wild during the 2016-2017 season, playing in a total of 65 games and recording 9 goals and 7 assists for a total of 16 points over that stretch.

White is a former Montreal Canadiens draft pick from the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, although he arguably had his best NHL seasons as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers between 2012 and 2014.
