The National Hockey League's concussion spotters may have something to say about this play.

On Wednesday night Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price acted like he got shot when he took a cross-check to the head from Ottawa Senators' center Nate Thomspon.

The play looked relatively harmless except for the body language from Price, and it did not appear to be a malicious cross-check from Thompson who was pushed into the net and may have merely been trying to catch his balance.

Nonetheless Price really sold the injury and went down clutching his head, and that is exactly the kind of thing NHL concussion spotters are on the lookout for.

Thus far Price remains in net for the Canadiens. Here's a replay of the incident.
