Chicago Blackhawks have reportedly signed 35-year-old forward Patrick Sharp to a one-year, $1 million deal. This is a real bargain, considering he earned $5,9 million last season.

TSN'Bob McKenzie added that many of the deals that are already reported are only verbal commitments with no paper contracts to back them up just yet. He mentions that nothing is official or dead-set certain until after 12 noon ET.

Sharp is a three-time Stanley Cup winner and played for 10 seasons with the Blackhawks. Last season, he played 48 games with the Dallas Stars, in which he recorded eight goals and 10 assists for 18 points, as well as a differential of -22.
