Detroit Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashill announced a change to his lineup ahead of tonight's game against the Carolina Hurricanes. Defenseman Xavier Ouellet will be back in action, and he will take Nick Jensen's spot on the blue line. Ouellet played 32 games with the Wings this season, registering four assists and two penalty minutes.

Drafted 48th overall by Detroit in 2011, the 24-year old defenseman played 128 games in the NHL so far, scoring five goals and 15 assists for a total of 20 points and 59 penalty minutes. He played one playoff game, without registering a point.

Jensen, 27, was drafted 150th by the Wings in 2009. He played 44 games this season, registering eight assists and 17 penalty minutes. In 93 games played in the NHL so far, the St. Paul, Minnesota native scored four goals and 17 assists for a total of 21 points.

Here's a look at what the Red Wings lineup should look like tonight.

Earlier today, coach Blashill updated the status of forwards Justin Abdelkader and Darren Helm, who are both dealing with injuries. Abdelkader (lower-body), is expected to come back before the all-star break. Helm (lower-body) should only be able to return after the break.

The Red Wings are currently sixth in the Atlantic division with a record of 18-19-7. They are 5-5-0 in their last ten games.
