The Anaheim Ducks may have just suffered a massive loss.

On Monday night Anaheim Ducks star forward Corey Perry suffered a nasty looking injury after a collision with Carolina Hurricanes winger Jeff Skinner.

Perry was coming in on Skinner from behind when his leg collided with the back of Skinner's leg, but Perry clearly got the worst of it. On the replay you could see Perry's leg buckle in the wrong direction, a truly nasty looking injury.

Perry stayed down on the ice for several moments before eventually getting help from the linesman and one of Anaheim's training staff to get back to the locker room, he would not return.

The Ducks are calling this a lower-body injury, but given the way his knee buckled as well as his inability to put any weight on his right leg, it's pretty clear in which part of his body the lower-body injury occurred.

Here's a brief replay where you can see the moment his knee buckles backwards.
