A real feel good story.

A few months ago we reported on the story of former Boston Bruin and Arizona Coyote Craig Cunnigham collapsing on the ice, and for many it was one of the most heart wrenching stories of 2016.

Craig, who is only 26 years old, collapsed on the ice as a result of cardiac arrest on November 19th and had to immediately be rushed to hospital. He remained there for several weeks recovering until on December 24th doctor's inform Craig that they would need to amputate part of his leg because they feared an infection would hinder his recovery.

Unbelievably at the time Cunningham kept an incredibly positive outlook on things, thankful merely to be alive rather than grieving over the amputation.

"I'm really appreciating life. Before, you don't think about how precious it really is," he said as per ESPN's Craig Custance. "F---, man, in an instant, everything can be taken from you."

With that in mind it should come as no surprise that Cunningham is making a spectacular recovery and has even begun showing off his progress week to week thanks to TSN's Ray Ferraro

Here's Craig last week:

Here's how far he's progressed since then:

Needless to say we wish him continued success moving forward in his recovery.
