Crucial call before tonight’s pivotal game 3.

Today’s the big day, Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Nashville Predators. First time in franchise history that Nashville will hold a Stanley Cup Final game and expect the fans to be loud tonight.

However despite the fever of the ice, one might ask who’s going to be the starting goalie for tonight’s pivotal game 3. Pekka Rinne’s performance in the regular season was stellar. The Finnish goalie had an amazing 1.98 GAA and .929 save percentage since the beginning of the Predators’ playoff run, but his luck seems to have failed him during the first two games against the Penguins.

While some thought Laviolette might give Juuse Saros a start, it appears the Preds head coach chose Pekka Rinne. As reported by Predators beat writer Adam Vingan Pekka Rinne has entered and left the Predators’ locker room as Juuse Saros was still on the ice. First goaltender off the ice on the morning skate is typically the starter.
