Breaking: Details of at least one offer for defenseman Jacob Trouba.

TSN Insider Darren Dreger has just dropped some very juicy information regarding Winnipeg Jets' defenseman Jacob Trouba and the trade that is expected to come any day now.

According to Dreger the Jets have already fielding multiple offers this summer, but it was his comments regarding one offer in particular, reportedly coming from the Detroit Red Wings, that stood out and furthermore may paint a clearer picture of the kind of value the Jets are looking for.

“I know that Cheveldayoff received several offers during the summer," said Dreger as per Nichols on Hockey. " know that one came from Detroit. I’m told that it involved two of their higher-level forwards, and Holland wasn’t willing or able to stomach that. As much as the Detroit Red Wings need defense, they can’t move out multiple pieces of scoring, otherwise they fill one hole and dig another."

There have been serious rumors flying around Detroit regarding the future of players like Gustav Nyquist and Tomas Tatar and one has to imagine one if not both of those names were among the two forwards Winnipeg was looking for.

Despite the fact that the Jets are reportedly looking for another defenseman in this deal, it seems they would be willing to part ways with Trouba for offense assuming the price is right.
