The San Jose Sharks managed to pull out a win in Game 3 with one of their top forwards out due to injury, and if they manage to tie to the series in Game 4 it will have to be without him as well, and according to some he may not return to play at all regardless of the length of the final.

According to National Hockey League reporter Tom Gulitti, head coach Peter DeBoer has confirmed that Tomas Hertl will not be available for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. Gulitti reports that the Sharks continue to list him as day to day, but new information suggests that may not be the case.

Moments ago TV Nova Sport play by play announcer Roman Jedlicka  revealed that a "very good source" has informed him that Hertl is done for the season as a result of an injury to his knee. This if true would of course be devastating news for the Sharks going forward.
