The Vegas Golden Knights made history Saturday night, becoming the first team in the NHL's 100-year history to win 6 out of its first 7 inaugural season games.
But this victory and record-setting accomplishment has been overshadowed by the loss of goalie Malcolm Subban.
Subban was on fire before the injury occured. He was replaced by Oscar Dansk, the team's third-string goalie. Vegas ended up defeating the St. Louis Blues 3-2 in overtime.
The news following the game is not looking positive in Subban's case.
With Marc-Andre Fleury already out with a concussion, and Subban likely out for weeks, Vegas is in deep trouble. They will likely have to make a trade for a goalie immediately.
