Breaking: Division rival Pens and Blue Jackets hook up on a minor trade
More movement in the NHL as teams prepare for the trade deadline.

Earlier today the Los Angeles Kings and Montreal Canadiens hooked up on a deal with Nate Thompson heading to the Habs in exchange for a slight pick upgrade. Just hours later the Pittsburgh Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets have lit up the trade phone with a deal of their own.
Heading to Pittsburgh is defenseman Blake Siedbenaler for a conditional 2019 pick.

UPDATE: The Blue Jackets have now confirmed the deal.
The 22 year old blue liner has just two points in 17 games for the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters this season, his third season with the club.
