Breaking: Duchene's agent unhappy after Joe Sakic rejects blockbuster trade.

It sounds like the agent for Colorado Avalanche star forward Matt Duchene is rather unhappy, and that may mean the player himself is also unhappy.

A huge report from Avalanche insider Adrian Dater of Newsday has revealed that general manager Joe Sakic rejected a monster trade offer from the New York Islanders, an offer that was meant to get them Duchene.

From Dater:

Snow had an offer out to the Avalanche, with Hamonic and the Islanders’ 2018 first-round pick as part of a package for Matt Duchene...

Dater also added that two National Hockey League sources have informed him that Pat Brisson, the agent for Matt Duchene and coincidentally also the agent for Islanders star John Tavares, is seriously unhappy with Sakic.

Dater believes Islanders general manager Garth Snow could still attempt to acquire Duchene from the Avalanche, and even believes the displeasure from Brisson could drop the price tag.
