It sounds like the Anaheim Ducks may get a huge boost to their line up this evening.

First, Ducks insider Eric Stephens is now reporting that head coach Randy Caryle has confirmed Nate Thompson is back in the line up this evening. Thompson was injured in Game 6 and forced to leave the game, and he also missed practice yesterday making this a big surprise.

Furthermore it sounds like the Ducks may also get Kevin Bieksa back as an option assuming of course the Ducks can get their medical staff to clear him. From Stephens' report:

Kevin Bieksa will be an option for Carlyle to use on defense, but only if he gains full clearance from the team’s medical staff, the coach said. Bieksa, who hasn’t played since suffering an apparent leg injury in Game 1, has stepped up in his skating in the last two days.

Obviously the return of a veteran defenseman like Bieksa could be huge for Anaheim, assuming that he is healthy enough to avoid becoming a liability for the Ducks.
