Breaking: Ducks star defenseman out with long-term injury

Already without Patrick Eaves, Hampus Lindholm, Sami Vatanen, Ryan Getzlaf, Ryan Kesler, and Ryan Miller (is it a curse to be named Ryan?), the Anaheim Ducks will find themselves without another key player for the long-term.

The 4-6 week absence may stretch out if the team doctor's deem that Cam Fowler's injury requires surgery.

Some of these injuries aren't expected to last too much longer - but this is a blow nonetheless.The Ducks are holding on with a 3-3-1 record despite being without most of their best players.
