The Detroit Red Wings have reportedly made a trade.
While the trade call is not yet official, barring a major catastrophe it appears that general manager Ken Holland has moved veteran defenseman Brendan Smith to the New York Rangers in exchnage for a pair of draft picks.
TSN insider Bob McKenzie is reporting that the Wings will receive a second round draft choice in 2017 as well as a third round draft choice in 2017, not a bad return given the expectation that Smith would be traded.
How do you feel about this move from Holland?
