Breaking: Edler out with long-term injury

Friday morning, we reported that Vancouver Canucks defenseman Alex Edler left Thursday night's game against the Winnipeg Jets after a seemingly innocent contact with Mark Scheifele.

Well, we have an update, and it isn't good.

The Canucks are off to a 1-1-1 start, and after the season they had last year, an injury to a key defenseman is the last thing they need.
