According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Jason Mackey, injured Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Matt Murray took to the ice at PPG Paints Arena this morning to skate on his own.
This has to be seen as a positive sign for the Pens netminder who has been out of the team’s lineup since suffering a lower body injury last Monday. Murray’s official status is “week-to-week”, but if he can manage to get back on the ice again this week and take some shots in full gear, a return to action could be sooner than expected.
Cross your fingers, Pens fans.
