The Vancouver Canucks announced their lineup ahead of their first game of the season, against the Edmonton Oilers. The team announced that young prospects Brock Boeser is a healthy scratch for the home opener.

Fans were not happy about coach Travis Green's decision and made their comments loud and clear on social media following the announcement.

And it goes on and on... Instead, Jake Virtanen, the team’s first-round pick in 2014, will play. Boeser had a strong pre-season and many fans anticipate a big year for the 20-year-old.

The Canucks tried to get out of the controversy, but fans keep commenting on the poor decision.
