Breaking: Finally some good news about Evgeni Malkin
Keystone Press

The Pittsburgh Penguins finally received some good news today, as head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed that star forward Evgeni Malkin is now listed as day-to-day with a upper-body injury, and that he will be traveling with the team this Friday as they'll be in Buffalo to play against the Sabres. Malkin missed his team last four games with an upper-body injury.

The Russian forward, drafted second overall by the Penguins in 2004, has registered 853 points in 728 games played in the NHL. He added 157 points in 149 playoff games. Prior to his injury, he scored seven goals and added 14 assists for 21 total points in 22 games played.

He helped Pittsburgh to win three Stanley Cups (2009, 2016 and 2017).  Malkin also won seven indivual trophies.
