Despite being drafted in the first round of the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft and performing well in the American Hockey League, Stefan Noesen has never been able to truly crack an NHL roster.

On Tuesday the Anaheim Ducks made the decision to send Noesen to the waiver wire according to a report from TVA Sports' Renaud Lavoie, this after the 23-year-old winger appeared in 12 games for the Ducks and netting two goals over that stretch.

Noesen's young age as well as his draft pedigree may be enough to get a rival team to take a gamble on him and with him showing that, although not a dynamic player, he is a stable NHLer the odds of him being claimed seem even more likely.

We of course won't have the answer until the waiver process is complete.
