The Calgary Flames have recalled forward Ryan Lomberg from the Stockton Heat (AHL), the team announced earlier today. He is expected to be in the lineup tonight to face the Edmonton Oilers, which means that Lomberg will be playing in his first NHL game!
This season, the 23-year old had five goals and nine assists for a total of 14 points in 36 games played in the AHL. Lomberg signed as an undrafted free agent with the Flames organization in 2015. He played 120 games in the AHL so far, scoring 18 goals and 28 assists for a total of 46 points.

Earlier today, goaltender Mike Smith learned that he will join Johnny Gaudreau in Tampa Bay to play the All-Star game. He will replace Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick.
