According to a report from Sportsnet 960’s Pat Steinberg, the Calgary Flames have assigned forward Garnet Hathaway to the team’s AHL affiliate the Stockton Heat.

Hathaway played in last night’s 3-0 loss to the Edmonton Oilers and managed to work his way into 26 games with the Flames last season, posting one goal and five points. At the AHL level, Hathaway put up an impressive eight goals and 20 points in just 31 games with the Heat last season.

Look for him to receive a longer look in the Flames lineup later this season.
