The Calgary Flames are bringing in another National Hockey League veteran in a professional tryout offer.

According to a breaking news report from TSN insider Darren Dreger, the Flames have signed former Chicago Blackhawks first round pick Dylan Olsen to a PTO.

Olsen was the 28th overall pick in the 2009 NHL draft, however the 23-year-old defenseman has struggled to find a consistent spot on an NHL roster since being selected. Since being drafted Olsen has bounced between the NHL and American Hockey League, although most of that time has been spent in the AHL.

Over the 124 games he has played in the NHL with both the Blackhawks and the Florida Panthers, he has recorded 5 goals and 11 assists for a total of 16 points.
