Breaking: Flames GM Treliving has post-surgery update on Johnny Hockey.

The Calgary Flames have updated the status of Johnny Gaudreau and with the new coming from Flames general mamager Brad Treliving himself you can take this as the official details on his injury.

According to Treliving the surgery on his broken finger has been successful, however despite that the time frame for his return will be a lengthy one with Gaudreau now expected to miss a full six weeks in recovery, certainly not the update Flames fans were hoping for.

Gaudreau was injured after taking a frankly ridiculous number of slashes on Tuesday night against the Minnesota Wild, so ridiculous in fact that one fan counted them and arrived at 21 slashes before his finger was broken.
