Bad news this morning.

There was a suspicion that Calgary Flames defenseman Travis Hamonic had suffered an injury in practice on Saturday morning. He left the session early and did not return.

This morning the Flames announced that they would lose Hamonic for at least the next week.

Brett Kulak will be called upon to take Hamonic's spot in the lineup tonight against the New Jersey Devils.

Head coach Glen Gulutzan is praying for this injury to not take his player out of the lineup for too long.

Hamonic, acquired in a trade in the off-season from the New York Islanders, has yet to make his mark offensively, posting only 2 points in 13 games so far this season.
