According to a report from Sportsnet’s Dan Murphy, NHL veteran Tanner Glass will sign with the Calgary Flames before today’s 5pm ET deadline.
Glass, 33-years-old, played just 11 regular season games with the New York Rangers last season, but is an NHL veteran of over 500 games with the Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets, Vancouver Canucks and Florida Panthers.
The forward earned a professional tryout (PTO) deal with the Flames during training and, evidently, has acquitted himself well during the team’s preseason schedule. Look for him to slot in on the team’s 4th line… making Troy Brouwer expendable. Trade coming?
