Breaking: Flames sign troubled Canucks forward to short-term deal.

You could hardly blame Linden Vey for the decline in his performance as of late, after all learning that your father is accused of plotting to kill your mother in horrific fashion has to be deeply disturbing for such a young man.

On that same note it was hard to blame the Canucks when they chose not to re-sign Vey this offseason, he had simply struggled too much in their system, and with his father being convicted last month there is no guaranteeing that he will bounce back from this.

Despite all that the Calgary Flames feel that the 24 year old winger was worth taking a gamble on, and as a result the Flames have agreed to the terms of a one year deal with Vey according to a report from the Fan 960's Dean Molberg.

The details of the deal have not been made public just yet.
