Breaking: Flyers GM Ron Hextall makes shocking announcement about his head coach!

For several days now there have been a ton of rumors swirling around the National Hockey League regarding the future of Philadelphia Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol.

The Flyers have lost 10 consecutive games and understandably that has put tremendous pressure on the organization, and more specifically general manager Ron Hextall, to make a significant organizational change. 

While that change may still come in the form of a trade it will not come in the form of Ron Hextall firing his head coach, in fact Hextall may never fire Hakstol at all to hear him tell it.

According to a breaking news report from Flyers' insider Sam Carchidi, Hextall has informed him that Hakstol will finish out the season as head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers. In fact according to Carchidi, Hextall even went so far as to say that Hakstol would remain the head coach of the team even after the end of the season.

"Hak will coach the rest of season. And beyond.," said Hextall."

Fans in Philadelphia have been calling for blood, even chanting "fire Hakstol" at their home games, and as a result this announcement from their beloved general manager is likely to create a major controversy, especially if they continue to lose.
