Breaking: Flyers' Gudas suspended - yet again!

He is surely used to it by now...

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas earned himself a two minute penalty for effectively chopping Tampa Bay Lightning superstar Nikita Kucherov in the head on Tuesday night.

And now, it has to pay for it.

Gudas has been suspended for two games on Wednesday for high-sticking Tampa Bay’s Kucherov.

The Flyers' controversial player is a regular in the NHL Player Safety's office. Gudas has been suspended by the NHL multiple times, most recently in 2017 for a brutal slash to the neck of Winnipeg Jets forward Mathieu Perreault. That infraction cost Gudas 10 games.

He better change his ways, especially now that the race for the playoffs is so tight in the Eastern Conference: the Flyers could have a chance. But they need everyone on the ice, given their all, and that included Gudas.

However, they will have to do without him for the next two contests...

Gudas wasn't the only member of the Flyers to be punished for some questionable actions during last night's contest. Robert Hägg has been fined $3,091.40, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for interference on TB’s Cedric Paquette.
