The Philadelphia Flyers have added some quality depth on the blue line.
The Flyers officially announced on Tuesday that they had acquired journeyman defenseman T.J. Brennan, signing him to a multi-year deal, no details of the contract have yet been made public.
While Brennan only appeared in 7 National Hockey League games last season despite playing for a bad team in the Toronto Maple Leafs, he did show off the skills that make him a valuable commodity in the American Hockey League.
Brennan was just one point shy of putting up a point a game in the AHL last season, earning himself the Eddie Shore Award as the league's top defenseman, and if he can ever find a way to improve some of his defensive liabilities he could be a valuable asset even at the NHL level.
