Unexpected buy out that could lead to another major move

The 'First Buy-Out window' is set to close today at 5:00pm ET

On Friday, The New Jersey Devils announced they bought out Mike Cammalleri. He was a second round selection, 49th overall, of the Los Angeles Kings at the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

After playing with Calgary for one season in 2008–09, he moved on to the Montreal Canadiens. He returned to the Flames in 2012 following an unusual transaction in which he was traded in the middle of a game.

During the 2008-2009 season with the Calgary Flames he scored 39 goals (carreer high) and registered 43 assists for a total of 82 points in 81 games.

Are the New Jersey Devils making some cap space for Ilya Kovalchuk?
