The Calgary Flames have made a big time deadline acquisition.

According to a breaking news report from TSN insider Darren Dreger the Flames have acquired former first round draft pick Curtis Lazar from the Ottawa Senators, they will also be getting veteran defenseman Mike Kostka in the deal.

Ottawa Senators insider Bruce Garrioch is reporting that the return on the deal will be defenseman Jyrki Jokipakka as well as a second round draft pick from the Calgary Flames.
