This is the kind of news that leaves players, coaches, general managers and fans of a team feeling completely gutted.

According to an official announcement from the St. Louis Blues organization, the team has lost one of it's top young players, forward Robby Fabbri, for the entire 2017-2018 National Hockey League season.

The 21-year-old center had surgery to repair his left knee after he tore his ACL back in February of 2017 and it appeared that the injury was fully healed. Now however according to the report from the Blues Fabbri  has now re-injured that very same knee so severely that he will be unable to play for the entire duration of the upcoming season.

Fabri, a former first round pick in 2012, played in just 51 games last season as a result of the injury, but had a very respectable showing for the Blues recording 11 goals and 18 assists for a total of 29 points.
