Injury Report: Former first round pick out long-term with broken wrist

Greg Whyshynsky from Yahoo sports reported earlier today that New York Islanders former first round pick will be out long-term with broken wrist.

Ryan Strome, 23-years-old, is expected to miss the rest of the season and a major part of the playoffs if the Islanders go deep in the playoffs.

Islanders Insight explained exactly how Strome was injured:

"While taking a pretty innocent looking hit along the boards from Brady Skjei as Strome sent the puck back to the defense from the right wing in the defensive zone, Strome fell to the ice, got up and went straight to the bench favoring his arm."

Strome played 69 games this season. He scored 13 goals and registered 17 assists for a total of 30 points.
