Former Stanley Cup winner, Brian Bickell has been put on waivers wire today. As per, Elliotte Friedman, there is a reason behind this. The Carolina Hurricanes need to waive him if they want to send him down for conditioning purpose. Bickell has been cleared to play but as he only played 7 games this year he will certainly need some time to find his game shape back.

Earlier in 2016, Bickell received a MS diagnosis that kept him out of play for a while. Brian Bickell played 391 games in the NHL. He scored 66 goals and registered 70 assists for a total of 136 points. He won the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2013 and 2015.
