Breaking: Former junior scoring machine hits the waiver wire
KeyStone Press

Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman announced today that Seth Griffith of the Buffalo Sabres has hit the waiver wire.

If you're a Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers or Boston Bruins fan, you know who Griffith it. Otherwise he's a relatively unknown name around the NHL.

He made a name for himself on the London Knights in the OHL - posting 2 consecutive 80+ point seasons to round out his junior career, proving to be a dominant player in the playoffs as well.

His numbers were perhaps skewed playing for the perennial-contending Knights - and his short stature (5'9") certainly didn't help his case when trying to break through into the NHL.

He was drafted in the 5th round in 2012 by the Bruins, and has since played 76 games over that time, split with 4 different teams.

He has 19 points in that span.

Who will be the next team to give him a chance?
