Way too young

Ask anybody around you, they will tell you that 59 is way too young to die. On Tuesday, Slava Malamud, Russian sports writer, reported a former NHL goalie was found dead at the age of 59.

Malamud reports Sergei Mylnikov, USSR’s goalie in the 1987 Canada Cup, died at 59. He played for Traktor ChelyabinskSKA Leningrad, and briefly for the Quebec Nordiques. He also played for the Soviet National Team, winning a gold medal at the 1988 Winter Olympics and at the 1989 and 1990 IIHF World Championships. He was named to the Soviet All-Star team in 1988.

The cause of his death is still unknown. More details to come.

Our thoughts and prayer to the family and friends.
