BREAKING : Former NHL player found dead.

Terrible news in the hockey world, as former Carolina Hurricanes centerman David Gove was found deceased in Pittsburgh earlier today. From the information we received, Gove might have overdosed on an unspecified substance according to KDKA-TV. He was 38 years old.

Gove spent the last 2 seasons of his career with WBS, where he was a team captain. He got into real estate after his career ended.

That April as the Nailers were making a playoff run, the team announced that Gove would be taking a leave of absence. He never returned.

Gove played 2 games in the NHL with the Hurricanes and 8 seasons in the AHL with different teams. He also coached the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL early in 2016.
