Breaking: Former NHLer says a major trade is about to happen.

The last time he made this kind of prediction he was dead on.

A former National Hockey League player has made a very bold prediction and his recent track record with this type of prediction is quite good.

None other than George Laraques has predicted that the Montreal Canadiens will make a "major" trade within the next 72 hours. The last time Laraque made a prediction of this magnitude was just this past summer and, while many doubted him at the time, just days later P.K. Subban was no longer a Montreal Canadien.

This time Laraque claims to have received a call from an agent, presumably a player's agent, informing him that there was a 95% chance the Habs make a major shift within the next three days. Laraque also added that when he says "major" he means far more than just a rental player and even went so far as to suggest that multiple players could be moved, including members of Montreal's core.

While just weeks ago this may have sounded like a crazy rumor, Montreal has been one of the worst teams in the NHL since the start of February and the firing of head coach Michel Therrien doesn't seem to have solved their issues. General manager Marc Bergevin may feel a drastic change is what he needs to avoid a second collapse in as many season.
