BREAKING: Former Red Wings Player Waived

Many Detroit Red Wings fans were very disappointed when they learned that one of the most promising prospect forwards Teemu Pulkkinen was waived by the organization and subsequently claimed by the Minnesota Wild.

The Wild would place him on a line with Mikko Koivu in an attempt to offer him a chance of succeeding at the National Hockey League level. Unfortunately, it appears as though that experiment has fizzled out.

Minutes ago, the Wild have proceeded to place him on waivers, and he has until noon tomorrow to clear otherwise he will be sent down to the Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate the Iowa Wild.

It looks like he’s going to have a hard time finding himself an NHL team to play with, and being bounced around on waivers at the age of 24 cannot be a good sign for his career.
