BREAKING: Goalie Clears Waivers, Situation Clarified

Goaltender placed on waivers after bad season clears them.

After starting the year off on the wrong foot with a 0-3-1 record along with a 3.88 goals-against average and .872 save percentage, it came as no surprise that the Toronto Maple Leafs opted to waive 28-year-old goaltender Jhonas Enroth yesterday. 

A few minutes ago, the Leafs' AHL affiliate Toronto Marlies signed Karri Ramo to an amateur tryout contract (which they later clarified as being the same as a professional tryout), and the belief is that Ramo will play a few games with the Marlies while Antoine Bibeau continues to play backup to starter Frederik Andersen. 




Enroth cleared waivers moments ago and will now be joining the Marlies, as he has been added to their official roster:




And regarding the goaltending situations, Mike Babcock said: 




It's impossible to tell who the backup will officially be moving forward.
