It was a rough night for Ottawa Senators backup goalie Mike Condon, whose first appearance in three weeks lasted less than 16 minutes as his team lost 5-1 to the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night.

And his night ended on quite the embarrassing note... Condon was chased from the game after he allowed Coyotes forward Derek Stepan to score from Arizona’s blue-line with a simple flip of the puck down the ice during a Senators power play.

You can see, what we believe is, the most embarrassing goal of the season yet, in the video above.

Unfortunately, the bad luck does not end there for Condon. On Wednesday, it was revealed that the Senators have placed Condon on the waiver wire. According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the hope is that Condon goes unclaimed and can be sent down to American Hockey League in Belleville to regain confidence.

At $2.5 million this season and $3 million next year, Condon is not expected by many team insiders to be claimed by another team.

The Senators, scheduled to fly home early Wednesday, went 0-for-3 out west, including a 6-3 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Friday and a 4-3 overtime setback against the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday.

The Sens are not the only team struggling this month. The Anaheim Ducks lost their sixth consecutive game last night, losing in the last minutes 3-2 to the Philadelphia Flyers, and are looking to make some changes.

On Wednesday, the Ducks placed veteran centre Ben Street on the waiver wire. The 31-year-old, who was never drafted in the NHL, has tallied three goals and five points in 12 games this season.

As for what took place on waivers on Tuesday, defenseman Jakub Jerabek has cleared the wire. Jerabek played in one game for the St. Louis Blues since coming over for the  Edmonton Oilers  prior to the start of the regular season. St. Louis traded a 2020 sixth-round pick to the Oilers in order to acquire Jerabek before the start of the season and was put at risk losing him for nothing if another team had summited a claim.

However, it seems now that Jerabek will be sent down to the AHL.
