It's been a rough couple of weeks for the Detroit Red Wings as they continue to pile on loss after loss. Loser of five consecutive games, the team will have to find ways of bouncing back and doing its best to finally win at the Wells Fargo Arena against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Things have remained the same- the Red Wings have yet to win in Philly since 1997. This time around, head coach Jeff Blashill will try something a little different in order to light a fire under his troops.

In what many are considering a vote of confidence for Jimmy Howard, the coach has given him the nod ahead of tonight’s game. Things have been tough for Petr Mrazek throughout the five losses, and perhaps bringing in Howard to start could potentially pay dividends.

Howard has fared very well since the beginning of the regular season, and through his last five games, his save percentage has not been below .929. Those types of stats represent numbers of a number one goaltender.
