Breaking: Goalie with the best stats in the NHL could be traded.

The best goaltender in the National Hockey League this season, at least statistically speaking, could very well be traded prior to the end of the season.

On the most recent segment of TSN's Insider Trading, insider Pierre LeBrun revealed that San Jose Sharks backup goaltender Aaron Dell was generating interest from around the league, and understandably so.

While Dell has only played a small sample size of games, he has been nothing short of amazing. In 11 games for the Sharks this season he has just a 1.72 goals against average and a very impressive .939 save percentage.

LeBrun suggested that Dell could end up being this season's Scott Darling, the former Chicago Blackhawks backup turned Carolina Hurricanes starter, although he did add that the Sharks may still choose to re-sign him as well.

The 28-year-old Dell played in 20 games last season for San Jose and while his numbers weren't as good they were still very respectable. He recorded a 2.00 goals against average over that stretch and boasted a 0.931 save percentage to go along with it.

This is an option a number of NHL team's will have to seriously consider.
