Goaltender injured a practice this morning won’t start tonight

The Montreal Canadiens are playing against the Dallas Star tonight at the Bell center.

Head coach Claude Julien confirmed prior to the practice this morning that Al Montoya would be his starting goalie. It appears things turned out differently as Al Montoya reportedly injured himself at the practice this morning.

CTV reporter and Habs insider Brian Wilde confirmed the news on twitter: “Montoya lower body injury this morning. Price will start.”

Carey Price played 57 games so far this season. He registered 34 wins and kept a 0.923 PCT.

Wilde later on added that GM Marc Bergevin called up Zach Fucale from ECHL Brampton’s team on an emergency basis to be Price’s back up for tonight.
