Big loss in goal.

It's one thing to lose your starting goaltender for up to 10 weeks as a result of an injury, it's another to also lose one of your back up options for the remainder of the season when your starter is already out.

The Arizona Coyotes will now be forced to rely very heavily on 23 year old rookie Louis Dominigue the rest of the way, as they have now lost back up goaltender Anders Lindback to what appears to be a season ending injury. Although Dominigue has done an admirable job filling in for the injured Mike Smith far, the Coyotes will now have to find another option as back up and that is easier said than done.

The Coyotes had to call in an emergency goalie earlier this week, Nate Schoenfeld, who is a local banker, and he was seen practising with the Coyotes today, meaning he may very well be their only legitimate option at this point.

There is also the extra added layer here of GM Don Maloney's comments earlier this week where he openly admitted to tanking at the end of last season, one has to imagine the National Hockey League will closely monitor how Arizona proceeds from here.
